Updated 2026-08-21 · First Aid Training Liverpool
For most aged care, disability support and community services roles the certificate asked for is HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, refreshed with HLTAID009 CPR each year. If you work with children the unit is usually HLTAID012 instead. Your employer sets the requirement, so confirm it before you book.
HLTAID009 CPR is 1.5 hours and is the annual refresher most care workers do between full certificates. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is 3 hours, includes the CPR unit, and is the certificate most support roles are asked for. HLTAID012 is 3.5 hours, covers first aid in an education and care setting, and includes both of the others.
Booking HLTAID011 when your employer wanted HLTAID012 is the most common and most annoying mistake, because it means sitting a second course. One question to your manager or your agency avoids it.
Care and support roles tend to be audited, and a lapsed certificate can take you off the roster even though nothing about your skills changed. First aid is generally treated as current for three years and CPR annually, so it is worth putting the CPR refresher in your calendar rather than waiting to be reminded.
Keep the statement of attainment itself. It carries the unit code, the completion date and the issuing RTO, which is what an employer or auditor actually wants to see.
Our venue is Unit 19a/21 Northumberland Street, in central Liverpool — a short walk from Liverpool station and Westfield Liverpool parking. Students come in from across south-west Sydney, including Casula, Moorebank, Prestons, Green Valley, Cabramatta, Fairfield, Bankstown, Leppington and Austral.
If you work across multiple sites or through an agency, one certificate covers you everywhere — nationally recognised training is not site-specific. Complete the online component around your shifts, then attend one practical session.
Most commonly HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, but the requirement is set by your employer or the service you work through. Confirm with them before booking.
Yes. HLTAID011 includes the HLTAID009 CPR unit, so you do not need to book both.
Book the unit your role requires again. If only your CPR currency has lapsed and your first aid certificate is still inside three years, the 1.5-hour CPR course is usually all that is needed — check with your employer.
